Get ready for summer with a 200-litre emergency water tank—perfect for water storage, resilience, and ensuring your household stays prepared in event of a natural disaster.
Council’s Emergency Management team has collaborated with our local Neighbourhood Hubs to promote the sale of emergency water tanks. Tanks cost $130 each.
In the event of a major earthquake, access to potable water can be difficult in the short-term. Having a household supply to bridge any supply issues is a measure which protects households in that situation.
Anthony Robinson, Emergency Management Lead at Hutt City Council, says buying a water tank is a sensible choice.
“The more prepared we are for challenges like water shortages and natural disasters, the better we will cope. Having a water tank can be a big part of that.
“And if you’re looking for a unique Christmas gift for the person who has everything, a 200-litre water tank is a practical and thoughtful choice.”
