We have plenty of great parks here in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt. From those specifically for our happy little pooches, to those designed for your skateboards and scooters. We also have parks with that perfect picnic spot and/or an exciting playground to explore. Get out and about this weekend in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt and check out some of the awesome parks we have below.

Les Dalton Dog Park

Les Dalton Dog Park is the perfect spot to exercise your furry friend and let them interact with others a-like! Located on the left-hand side of Waiau Street in Wainuiomata, Les Dalton Dog Park contains a large grassy space with fencing, and a separate area for smaller dogs. If your dog gets a bit muddy, there’s an area available to give them a lovely bath (however they might think the opposite!). There’s also a car park so you can provide your pup with taxi service to their new favourite place. Learn more about Les Dalton Dog Park here: hutt.city/lesdaltondogpark

Skateparks

Get your skateboards and helmets out as there are seven skateparks in the Lower Hutt region! Each one has their own features that make them equally as awesome, like Petone, which has a traditional mini-ramp skatepark and Avalon’s skatepark has three rails, three basic banks, a funbox and a quarterbowl.
