We gather and report on economic data to help the council and businesses understand local economic conditions. You can check out:
- The latest Infometrics Quarterly Interactive Report online, including data on the local economy, such as building consents, employment, job advertising, and EFTPOS data.
- The Infometrics Annual Economic Profile for Lower Hutt online tool, detailing types of businesses, job creation, specific sectors, and productivity.
- The Regional Economic Activity web tool published by MBIE, provides indicators on housing, workforce, education, populations, income, and GDP.
- A regular Business Confidence Survey, checking the pulse of Hutt Valley business owners, collated by the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce.
