Business Safety Support Fund

Rising visibility of retail theft and crime in and around our city and suburban shopping centres has prompted businesses to reach out to Council for support.

Two public meetings with Lower Hutt business owners facilitated by Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce discussed responses by Police, actions businesses can take and potential collective solutions.

$150,000 was approved by Council to fund safety interventions for retail and hospitality businesses.
