Citizenship ceremonies

We hold citizenship ceremonies for Hutt residents who have recently been granted New Zealand citizenship.

Each year we hold four ceremonies for Hutt residents who have been granted citizenship. Each person takes part in the swearing-in process, then the Mayor presents them with their citizenship certificate.

Citizenship ceremonies take place in February, May, August and November.

Ceremony dates

The next dates for the 2013 citizenship ceremonies are:

  • Wednesday 22 May
  • Wednesday 14 August
  • Wednesday 20 November

The ceremonies are held at the Horticultural Hall, Laings Road, Lower Hutt and commence at 5pm.
